Welcome to the168! I’m glad to have you here!

I’m Ksenia. I’m an international educator, creative communications professional, and social science nerd. I live in Toronto with my partner, two young sons, and two old lady cats.

As a mom, resource management comes up in my life A LOT. Parenting is a 24/7 job that requires immense amounts of resources, and as a city person who doesn’t have extended family living around the corner, I quickly discovered just how finite my resources are. And when the resources are scarce, we learn to manage them efficiently.

This is how the idea behind the168 was born. Here you will find tips and tricks to better organize your physical, emotional and financial resources as a parent, caregiver, aunt or uncle. I write about time management, sleep, money, emotional regulation, children’s books, negotiation skills, broccoli, and everything else related to the demanding and fulfilling role of a parent.

I also provide links to other field experts that were helpful in my own parenting journey. It takes a village, as they say, and in today’s digital age of information overload, I am happy to share the village I have curated for myself.

As for my own expertise, I have a degree in Political Science and have worked in education and communications for the past ten years, including in France and Costa Rica. I love reading, gardening, cycling, and playing board games. I could eat Mexican food every single day of my life and my favourite documentary is Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s HUMAN.

Be sure to sign up to my email list if you’d like to get notified of new posts and connect with me on social media. I’m always happy to hear from you!

P.S. Why 168? It’s just an around-the-clock weekly thing.
